SHI-ASIA  awards GENESYS the Automation Package and I&C installation of the new LPG storage and Distribution Facilities under construction for EP PETROECUADOR. The reception terminal is located in Monteverde-Santa Elena Province and the distribution terminal in Chorrillos-Guayas Province of Ecuador. The project also includes the  I&C installation of the 117 KM LPG pipe line between the two Terminals.

CELEC-EP ELECTROGUAYAS selected GENESYS to provide mobilization, installation and startup of their 174 MVA transformer for the Trinitaria 130MW-SB Thermoelectric Power Plant.

The project was performed under emergency conditions and executed in 30 days from equipment reception in Houston to Startup. GENESYS performed the works with “cero” safety incidents and 14 days ahead of schedule.

Recent Experiences

Ecuador

The Genesys Control Company, by way of their Power Tech Division, recently successfully implemented the ASAT DAP-100 server as a Gateway – Scada Electric in the Extraction Station of Block 16 of REPSOL/YPG en Orellana Province in Ecuador. With the integration of 48 GE Multilin protection relays, Allen Bradley PLCs and the Scada iPower, the DAP-100 demonstrated once again its flexibility in carrying out data collection and protocol conversion functions.

CATEG, appertaining to the Guayaquil Electric Company, recently implemented a pilot Project in the Alvaro Tinajero and Anibal Santos Electric Stations, by which, the ASAT DAP-100 acted as a temporary communication bridge between both stations as well as its protection relays and ION energy meters, to later send data to the Control Room. Communication, supervision and control tests with sub-transmission lines were carried out successfully.

 

New Drying Tower Project Rockett (Venezuela – Barquisimeto)

Genesys was awarded the start-up service of the different mechanical and instrumentation equipment of the new detergent drying tower by the transnational firm, Procter & Gamble.

This new tower, with the latest generation technology of Procter & Gamble permitted 100 percent coverage of the national demand of this country.

This Project took place from the 23rd of May 2010 to the 4th of June the same year.

GENESYS CONTROL S.A. participated in the EXPOMINES 2010 EXPO-CONFERENCE, whose objective was to congregate the most prestigious mining companies, and industrial and mining sector service firms of the country and the companies specialized in environmental studies for the purpose of gaining direct foreign investment and developing economically responsible mining, that respects the social and natural environments in which it is developed, basic mainstays for the future of our country.

This important event recognized at an international level took place in Quito the 23, 24 and 25 of March in the Center of Expositions of the Sports Plaza.

 

Genesys Control achieves the level of “Process Solution Partner” with Rockwell Automation Multinational

During an arduous process of qualifying and training, Genesys Control completed the requirements of the Rockwell Automation company and achieved the category of “Process Solution Partner”. Genesys concentrates in Power Plant Management Systems and solutions for the Petroleum and Gas sector.

Once the pre-commissioning and commissioning of 2 reciprocal Wärtsilä  motors of 7.5 MW in Edén Yuturi Block 15 of the NGC 2 project had finished, GENESYS received the PSSR (Pre-Start Safety Review ) from Field Management to initiate 10 days of performance tests that successfully concluded the 18th of February within the parameters and efficiency markers of the manufacturer. Once the performance tests had concluded, the Optimization of Electrical Generation OGE handed over the installations to the Operations Department.

The conduct of commissioning and start-up until its completion was developed by highly qualified engineers and each of the activities was certified according to the Petroamazonas procedures – OGE (Optimization of Electrical Generation) conserving Industrial Security, Occupational Health and the Natural Environment.

 

Genesys contributes to the solution of the energy crisis of Ecuador.

At the beginning of the month of December 2009, we accepted the challenge of developing and executing the EPC (in conjunction with GE and SANTOS CMI) of 6 X GE TM2500 that would support the National Interconnected Electric System (SIN) for a total of 120MW helping solve the Ecuadorian electric crisis.

Electrical engineering, concept and detail, Procurement, Construction and Assembly, Commissioning and Start-up of the first three TM2500 turbines located close to the Enrique García Plant in Pascuales, Guayaquil was developed in a record time of four weeks thanks to our experience and teamwork on electric generation Fast Track projects developed in a variety of Latin-American countries.

6 x GE TM 2500 Pascuales, Ecuador. 69KV Bay and Tower of Interconnection to SNI.

Engineering, supply, assembly and construction of the 69KV portal with the respective Bay Equipment crews. Assembly of the equipment for the patio included the Commissioning and Startup crews.

6 x GE TM 2500 Pascuales, Ecuador. XFMR 13.8/69KV 100MVA

Mounting, filter press, assembly, tests and principal transformer start-up.

6 x GE TM 2500 Pascuales, Ecuador.

Engineering (civil, electromechanical), manufacture of lattices, mounting and construction of  2 transmission towers for interconnecting to the SNI.

1 x GE TM 2500 Manta, Ecuador.

The EPC work (in conjunction with GE and SANTOS CMI) began the first week of December, starting-up in record time the 24th of December 2009.
